Service Description
Have you ever wondered what your child would do if a friend got hurt, became lost, or needed help outdoors? Join us for a FREE pilot program designed to teach kids practical outdoor safety and wilderness first aid skills in a fun, hands-on environment. WHAT WE'LL LEARN The Wilderness Detective • The 3 Ps of Safety • Scene Safety • Calling for Help The Fluid • Recognizing Serious Bleeding • Direct Pressure • Basic Bandaging Skills The Air • Recognizing Breathing Problems • Managing the Airway • Breathing for Someone Else The Outdoors • Lost Person Skills • Staying Aware • Staying Where You Are • Keeping Warm FINAL MISSION Students will work through a fun outdoor rescue scenario where they use the skills learned throughout the day to help an "injured" patient. WHY THIS COURSE? This course is designed to help children build confidence, learn practical safety skills, and develop the ability to stay calm and think clearly when something goes wrong. Our goal is not to create mini-medics. Our goal is to help kids become safer, more aware, and more capable outdoors.

Cancellation Policy
Turn Left Adventure & Education Cancellation Policy We understand that plans change, and we strive to be fair and flexible while honoring the time, preparation, and costs that go into each trip. Please review the following cancellation policy carefully. Participant Cancellations More than 30 days before trip start: Full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. 15–30 days before trip start: 50% refund OR full credit toward a future trip within 12 months. 14 days or less: No refund or credit (unless we can fill your spot from the waitlist). Note: If you must cancel due to illness, injury, or family emergency, we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required. No-Shows Participants who do not show up without notice will forfeit the full cost of the trip. Trip Cancellations by Turn Left Adventure & Education If we cancel due to weather, safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered: A full refund OR Full credit toward another trip or training within 12 months. We do our best to notify participants at least 7 days in advance for non-emergency cancellations. Weather-related decisions may be made closer to the event for safety.
