Bring internationally respected Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) International certification directly to your staff—without the administrative burden.
When you host a course with Turn Left, we handle the operational complexity so your leadership team can stay focused on your people. From equipment logistics to participant coordination, we manage the details required to deliver a seamless, high-caliber training experience.
We supply all required medical training equipment and student materials. For open-enrollment or public-facing courses, we also oversee marketing, registration, and payment processing at no additional cost to your organization. Our team ensures streamlined communication, online course access, and certification management from initial agreement through final documentation.
Instruction is delivered by experienced medical educators using realistic, scenario-based training with low student-to-instructor ratios. The result is rigorous, practical preparation that builds competence, decision-making ability, and team cohesion in high-consequence environments.
Host Responsibilities
Financial Commitments
Hosts secure course dates with a tiered deposit:

$750 for courses up to three days

$1,500 for courses longer than three days
A minimum of 10 participants is required for billing purposes, regardless of final enrollment. Hosts also cover instructor-related expenses, including travel, private lodging, and meals or per diem (at current GSA rates).
Facility & Training Environment
Hosts provide a distraction-free, climate-controlled indoor classroom with tables, chairs, and whiteboard space.
The venue must include:

Access to potable water and restrooms

A nearby outdoor area suitable for realistic medical scenarios

Availability from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM during course days
Any rental fees, permits, or site costs are the responsibility of the host.
On-Site Coordination & Instructor Support
A designated host liaison must be available to:

Provide facility access and orientation

Troubleshoot logistical needs

Post wayfinding signage
-
Serve as the communication bridge if issues arise
Hosts are also responsible for arranging safe, private lodging for instructors beginning the evening prior to the course start.
Participant Recruitment & Administration
Hosts recruit participants and maintain an accurate roster. A finalized list—including full legal names and email addresses—must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the course start date to allow LMS enrollment.
Hosts must ensure participants understand that:

All online coursework must be completed
Certification cannot be issued without full compliance.
