Hi, I’m Eli, founder of Turn Left Adventure & Education. I grew up in Southern California as one of six kids, spending summers camping in Yosemite, jumping off cliffs, hiking Half Dome, and boogie boarding at the beach—outdoors was my playground, and I’ve had saltwater in my veins ever since.

I started guiding in 2003 with Rock-N-Water, a Christian youth adventure camp, leading whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and canyoneering trips. Since then, I’ve guided across the U.S. and China, raised five incredible kids, married a former Marine (now a Marriage and Family Trauma Therapist and entrepreneur), and pursued my passion for wilderness medicine and education.

In 2019, I completed NOLS’ Rescue Semester and earned High Angle and Swift Water Rescue certifications. Then, in 2020, just in time for COVID, I began working in EMS. For the last three years, I’ve been traveling and teaching wilderness medicine courses with Wilderness Medical Associates. Now I’m finishing business school and pouring my heart into Turn Left Adventures—where safety, faith, and the wild collide.
