Since 2003, Eli LaMouria has built a multifaceted career in wilderness adventure, education, and medicine throughout the United States and China. Her experience spans more than two decades and includes guiding and instruction in whitewater rafting, rock climbing, canyoneering, and outdoor leadership. She has also served as a waterfront lifeguard, archery instructor, personal trainer, soccer coach, and adventure program director.

Eli spent several years living and working in China, where she developed and led adventure camps for youth, teens, and families across multiple provinces. Her work abroad shaped her commitment to culturally aware risk management, experiential education, and the power of adventure to transform lives.

With a background in EMS and extensive training in high-angle and swiftwater rescue, Eli now works as a Wilderness EMT and Lead Instructor with Wilderness Medical Associates International. She has taught hundreds of hours of WFA, WAFA, WFR, and recertification courses to outdoor professionals, resort staff, field instructors, Search & Rescue members, and guides. She also runs Turn Left Adventure & Education, where she offers faith-centered, medically informed guided trips and custom wilderness medicine training for organizations and teams.

When she’s not teaching or guiding, Eli can be found exploring the mountains with her family of seven, running long distances, camping, and cooking. She also loves slowing down to share good wine and even better conversations with friends. At home, she’s accompanied by her two Great Danes—loyal shadows who insist on being part of every adventure, whether they’re invited or not.
