Service Description

This professional-level Basic Life Support course prepares rescuers to recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate high-quality CPR, utilize an AED, manage airways, and function within a coordinated team response. Training includes interactive discussion, scenario-based instruction, and hands-on skills practice designed to reflect real-world rescue environments. Participants will train in adult, child, and infant resuscitation protocols while strengthening communication and role clarity during team-based cardiac events. The curriculum aligns with the most current American Heart Association BLS guidelines, ensuring a consistent and nationally recognized standard of care across professional settings. Intended Participants This course is appropriate for professionals who are expected to provide emergency cardiac and respiratory care in the field or clinical environment, including: Ski Patrol and Resort Medical Staff Fire Service Personnel Law Enforcement Officers Search and Rescue Teams U.S. Forest Service Staff EMTs and Paramedics* Registered Nurses and Clinical Providers* Lifeguards Other designated professional rescuers or healthcare providers* *Certain employers require certification issued directly by the American Heart Association. While this course follows AHA guidelines and meets the same educational standards, certification is issued through our training center rather than directly through the AHA.


Cancellation Policy

Turn Left Adventure & Education Cancellation Policy We understand that plans change, and we strive to be fair and flexible while honoring the time, preparation, and costs that go into each trip. Please review the following cancellation policy carefully. Participant Cancellations More than 30 days before trip start: Full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. 15–30 days before trip start: 50% refund OR full credit toward a future trip within 12 months. 14 days or less: No refund or credit (unless we can fill your spot from the waitlist). Note: If you must cancel due to illness, injury, or family emergency, we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required. No-Shows Participants who do not show up without notice will forfeit the full cost of the trip. Trip Cancellations by Turn Left Adventure & Education If we cancel due to weather, safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered: A full refund OR Full credit toward another trip or training within 12 months. We do our best to notify participants at least 7 days in advance for non-emergency cancellations. Weather-related decisions may be made closer to the event for safety.
